Raiders News And Rumors: Chiefs Compare Pryor To Cam Newton

With the Oakland Raiders facing the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, the division rival knows how challenging it will be to contain quarterback Terrelle Pryor. Pryor has already drawn comparisons to Cam Newton, who torched the Chiefs last season with three touchdowns and 78 rushing yards.

While the Chiefs have compared him to Cam Newton, Pryor’s skill set and throwing motion have been compared to Tim Tebow. A couple days ago, Pryor discussed how he doesn’t want to follow in Tebow’s footsteps in terms of his decline and reluctance to change his game.

In order to avoid being another Tebow, the 24-year-old is not content about his play so far this season and understands that the learning process for him never stops. Pryor has shown signs of promise and has earned the respect of the coaching staff in Oakland. Even though he still has a lot to prove, Pryor’s drive not only will cement him as Oakland’s long-term starter, but possibly as the new face of the franchise.
