The Oakland Raiders have impressed so far during the 2017 NFL season, racking up wins against the Tennessee Titans and New York Jets. The offense has looked as explosive as ever, scoring 71 points through two games with no signs of them slowing down.

While the Raiders have looked like legitimate Super Bowl contenders, it is still early in the season and there is plenty of football to be played. According to Ron Kroichick of SFGate, head coach Jack Del Rio promised he would not let his team get too full of themselves:

I’m always really honest. I keep it real with our guys,” Del Rio said during his weekly news conference Monday. “This is our standard and what it needs to look like. You always want to feel good about winning, but hey, this is the reality of where we need to be better.”

With arguably the loudest and rowdiest fanbase in the league, Oakland has proven to be one of the most exciting teams in the NFL. While the silver and black have every right to feel confident about themselves, they would still be best served remaining humble and focusing on the games ahead.

Derek Carr has orchestrated the offense beautifully in his return to the field, while the defense has managed to hold their own despite some lingering concerns over depth and ability. Regardless, Oakland will always be in games thanks to all their offensive weapons and it will be interesting to see how they fair on the road against the Washington Redskins in Week 3.
